Hi all, I'm aware this is a widespread issue with 10.8>users and I've tried to troubleshoot it myself but I can't seem to fix it. I'm trying to watch a.mkv file on divX player - but when opened, there is no audio and the following error message appears: ' Error Dolby AC3 Audio Player does not recognize the audio in this video.
Additional Software is required to play. It may be available from the DivX Support website.' This is the second file I've tried this week which has encountered the same problem. I went on to the website and looked at the drivers, and it suggested Perian which I already have installed on my mac. Are Perian and divX not working together properly in this instance? Or do I need to download something else? I'm using a 2010 macbook Pro with OS X 10.9.2 Thanks for any help!
Feed raw audio into the AAC encoder, and out comes the compressed audio stream. So in the process of trying to play your file, the player has to look up the various CODECs in use. If you're playing via VLC, it has these all built-in to the program. Unless you have a media type it doesn't understand. Aggrenox Sqli Exploit Scanner Virus here.
