These two glitches were removed in the 1.8.4 patch. HOWEVER, the 1.8.3 patch which came out in May 2015, came with a huge change that makes 1.8.3 well worth it to get, increased loot drop rates.

In the 1.8.3 patch, Gearbox increased the drop rate of legendaries 3x. So, I would HIGHLY recommend you download this game and then find a 1.8.3 update for the game. I did it and can play perfectly fine on 1.8.3. Just search for “Borderlands 2 GOTY 1.8.3 update” and you should be able to find the update just fine.

Again, HIGHLY recommend downloading the 1.8.3 update after downloading the game from here. All you have to do to install the updates is copy the folders in the update to where you installed the game.
